Triumph, Envy claim final Americas Minor spots

The team list for the ESL One Rio Americas Minor has been finalised after Triumph and Envy prevailed over Orgless and Yeah, respectively, in the final round of play.
The top-end of the lower bracket saw Alan "Shakezullah" Hardeman's Triumph drawn against Orgless for a spot at the Americas Minor, with Pujan "FNS" Mehta's troops entering the series on a high note following their successful bid to qualify for FLASHPOINT 1 last week. While Triumph had battled past Swole Identity and Mythic to remain in contention, Orgless had dispatched of ex-eUnited, leaving them the favoured side heading into the series.
Triumph faced an uphill climb against Orgless as, after dropping their own pick of Nuke 11-16, they were left staring down a five-round deficit at halftime on Dust2. A stellar offensive effort, helmed by Logan "Voltage" Long and Michael "Grim" Wince, helped Triumph get back into the series, conceding only two additional rounds on the road to evening the series with a 16-12 win. The decider map of Inferno saw closer scorelines all around as the two squads remained within one round of each other at the break, but in the end it was Shakezullah's men who triumphed by edging out a win in thirty rounds to clinch their spot in Rio.

The new-look Envy lineup struggled as they were almost sent packing in the second round of the lower bracket, dropping their pick of Mirage against a Joshua "steel" Nissan-less Chaos despite leading 10-5 at the half and fighting back from a 4-11 deficit on Dust2.
After narrowly securing a 2-1 win over Chaos and earning a berth through to the final round of the lower bracket, Noah "Nifty" Francis and company hit the ground running in their match against the Brazilian side of Yeah, locking down the CT side of Inferno before eventually closing out the map 16-11. Early control of Overpass for Envy (7-2) was left by the wayside as Yeah battled back within one round at the half, but Kaleb "moose" Jayne and Buğra "Calyx" Arkın combined on the defense to help their side close out the series with a 16-12 victory.
The eight teams who will compete at the Americas Minor are as follows:

The ESL One Rio Americas Minor is set to run from April 26 - May 2, and will have two spots at the Major Main Qualifier on offer.
